Items needed:
- A grapefruit or an orange
- Bird seed
- Cut a grapefruit or orange in half. (Adult should help!)
- Scoop out the fruit (be sure to eat it up - yummy)
- Place bird seed in the empty half and place it outside on a window sill.

Items needed:
- Suet (you can find this at grocery stores)
- Bird Seed
- Netting 8"x8" size works nicely
- If your suet is a large piece, cut into smaller sections.
- Allow children to roll suet in bird seeds
- Place suet in a piece of netting (the 8" x 8" size works great)
- Pull netting up around suet and tie at top with string or ribbon
- Hang netting from a tree or shrub and watch the birds feast!

Instead of wasting those crusts of bread, have your child poke a hole in the top of the crust (about 3/4 inch from the top). Leave the crust out on the counter to dry out overnight, then tie a piece of yarn or string through the hole. Take it outside and hang it on a tree - easy bird feeder.
