Bunny Crafts - Bunny Crafts for Kids

Easter is the perfect occasion to share fun bunny crafts with kids. Of course, bunny crafts can be created anytime of year. Read on to enjoy these easy kid friendly bunny crafts.

  • Cotton Ball Bunny Craft :

    Supplies:
    • Cardboard or posterboard
    • Cotton balls
    • Scissors
    • Glue
    • Pieces of felt (pink, black, or other colors) - or construction paper
    • Black yarn (enough for a mouth)
    • Small piece of string or ribbon

    1. Draw and cut a bunny shape from cardboard or posterboard (we used posterboard for ours). Don't forget ears and a tail! Glue pink felt onto the bunny ears. Outline the ears with glue and stick on cotton balls.
    2. Spread glue over the rest of the bunny, and put cotton balls all over the bunny (where you glued.)
    3. Use felt (or construction paper) to make eyes and a nose (and any other features you'd like - maybe a bow tie?) Use black yarn folded like a "W" for the bunny mouth. Glue all the features onto the bunny.
    4. Add a ribbon or string for a hanger and you will have an adorable cotton ball bunny craft to display.

  • Easter Hat Bunny Craft:

    Supplies:
    • Scissors
    • Poster board
    • Paper doily
    • Construction paper (assorted colors)

    1. Cut a bunny-shape head from the posterboard. Add pink ears cut from construction paper.
    2. Glue a small paper doily over the bunny's head (the one you cut out in step #1). Add construction paper eyes, nose, mouth and whiskers.
    3. Cut a long strip (about an inch wide) of posterboard and glue the bunny to the center of the strip. Staple the ends of the strip to fit the child's head. It's ready to wear. Enjoy!

  • Chain of Bunnies Craft Idea:

    Supplies:
    • White paper (size 6 inches by 12 inches)
    • Crayons and/or colored pencils
    • Construction Paper (assorted colors)
    • Scissors

    1. Fold the piece of paper in half three times in the same direction. (Folding three times will give you a chain of four bunnies). You can make more or less folds - or use a different size paper for a different number of bunnies.
    2. Draw and cut a bunny shape on the fold of your white paper. Do NOT cut the end of the arms (that way your bunnies will stay connected.)
    3. Cut dresses, shirts, pants from construction paper and glue them on to the bunnies. Add facial features with colored pencils or crayons.

Bunny crafts are extremely popular for Easter - they are also easy to adapt for other holidays (i.e. use a shamrock for St. Patrick's Day or a tree shape for Christmas.)
